Synopsis:
The highly anticipated sequel to the instant New York Timesbestseller that critics are calling “out-of-this-world awesome.”

Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.
Once again told through a compelling dossier of emails, IMs, classified files, transcripts, and schematics, Gemina raises the stakes of the Illuminae Files, hurling readers into an enthralling new story that will leave them breathless.

One-Way-Or-An-Author-Review

Thank you Penguin Random House for the review copy!

This book was easily one of my top anticipated stories of 2016, given the love I had for its predecessor Illuminae, which was the first and only book I’ve reviewed on video here. While Kaufman and Kristoff continue to surprise readers with their clever plot twists and science fiction elements that are just out of this world, my initial reaction to this book wasn’t as exciting. We start off with new characters and a new setting, and while I went into this book looking forward to meeting them, a part of my heart is permanently with Ezra and Kady back on the Hypatia.

Fanart Friday #5: GEMINA Wallpapers + Designs + Come, Space Lovers!

gemina header

Greetings, traveler of the interwebs!

My phone actually autocorrects Gemina to GEMINA, which only goes to show how utterly I’m excited for it. In any case, I recently made some designs that you lovely people can also use/buy to showcase your love for this book. Let me just tell you, designing space things (to keep up with the theme, y’know) is actually harder than it looks! Anything to do with nature is in the bag, but then you add numbers and constellations and other space objects and my head’s scrambling for ways to hold onto each idea. Anyhow, the little elf in my mind that screams ideas to the temporal love in my brain somehow managed. So here they are!

Some rules:

  • All quotes belong to the amazing authors and publisher.
  • Some elements I used to embellish designs came from stock photo sites like Free Pik. I do not own them.
  • For personal use only.
  • Happy reading!

To download in full resolution, just click on the picture and click on the Dropbox link in the captain.

But Wait

There’s more! Over the summer I also opened a Society 6 and Redbubble shop. I added some designs for the Illuminae series, if you want to check it out. Just click on the picture of the canvas and there are links to be redirected to its respective Society 6 or Redbubble page.

Did You See?

I also wonder if you’ve checked out the Illuminae wallpapers I released at Happy Indulgence last year! If you’re using any of these, I’d seriously love to know. Or not, that’s cool too. 🙂 Either way, enjoy!

Find the full resolution pictures at the Indulgence Designs post.

Look out for my review of Gemina in the upcoming weeks as well. 😀
