I hope everyreader has been doing well. A lot has happened since my last post on this beloved blog, which was a little more than a year ago. With the recent pandemic going on and cancellation of most summer plans, I’ve been reading more than ever and wanted to kickstart this blog again (at least for a short while). I love reviewing and reading reviews, and my love for books has never died. As such, I’m happy to be writing again on the blog.
What has happened?
- I’ve left the amazing Happy Indulgence, but they’ve also gained a new co-blogger, Bec. Check their posts out if you have time!
- My reading tastes have seen a marked transition from mostly Young Adult to mostly romance reads. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a happy ending. I still adore YA books but recently I’ve been picking up soo many romance reads, so you’ll probably see a lot of reviews coming up in that genre. (It’s a good thing I never specifically named this blog Young Adult-focused, or else I would have changed a lot of things.)
- The reason why I stopped blogging consistently is that I stopped reading for a bit. Last year, I picked up another major (Bachelor in Business Administration), which added a lot more coursework to my plate. I’ve been taking 20 credits every semester since then (6 classes), and that, along with my extracurriculars and job, kept me exceptionally busy. Freshman year, I was able to go to book events in the area and continue blogging. But now I can’t be bothered to even check.
- Twitter is a major procrastination app and I can’t be trusted with it. It’s so easy to fall into that black hole of social media, and although the book community is beautiful, I don’t have the energy to maintain that platform. I’ll be happily reading/commenting blogs though!
I think those are the most important bits. I hope everyone stays safe wherever you are in the world ❤ (Also if you are in the U.S. please be social distancing)
Happy reading, and I’m excited to be posting reviews on the blog!
